MASON HANNAGANS PIT REPORT
December 9, 2007 It seems as if it's been forever since I have written and believe me, many people have complained to me and my Mom and Dad. Well, since August it was a nice Knoxville Nationals for me. I got to spend some time with some great people. There were a lot of ladies to help my Mom out in the trailer, that was great hanging out with different people. My Dad was pretty happy after that also. Then we headed to California where I got to spend time with my Grandparents and Uncle Terry which I love. I help with my Uncle Terry and I think he's pretty cool. He buys me really cool stuff too. I got a ride on train for my birthday. Oh yea, did I mention that I'm two now! I am trying to talk too. I say battery, car, broke, etc. You know all the things kids are supposed to say. No bad words I have uttered yet. I got to go to victory lane when my Dad won the last night of the Trophy Cup. There are photo's of us on the front page. Other then that I'm just busy being a kid. Be sure to check out my photo page by clicking above. There are some cool photo's of me and from my birthday. I had the best birthday with all of my friends. August 3, 2007 Okay people, I know it's been like forever since I have chatted on here but I'm getting older and I'm really busy these days. Heck I can't even remember where I was yesterday. Probably playing in the pool since my parents decided we could come home for 5 days. I am now a worldy traveler since I've now been to Canada. Those girls up there are really cute. See below, I've got a few photo's of me with the babes. I'm a lucky guy, huh? I know it's been a hectic schedule we have been keeping for the last month or so. I can't remember what the heck I did in June. In July we raced all over the place. Kings Royal, Canada. Oh did I mention I had to travel with my Uncle Tom? Our lovely motorhome broke down in New York and it was there for a week. My parents warn to not buy any products made by Gulfstream. They are a piece of crap. I mean I had to go without the majority of my toys for over a week. How's a guy to live without his battery powered quad? I ride that thing everywhere for goodness sake. I told them no more of that. We did get to go to Niagara Falls, AGAIN. We just went on the Canada side this time. Much better as they seem to care about their falls. America doesn't seem to proud of this gorgeous work of nature. My Mom and Dad made it through customs with no issues, they did tell me if I didn't straighten up that they may leave me with the boarder patrol. Only thing was, no one wanted to keep me. Said I looked to mischivious for them. Ya think? Well, we are off on an 8 week journey that begins in Wisconsin, been there already. Then we head to the Nationals. My Dad really stresses me out that week. He's so grumpy and stressed. I told him to get over it, pray to God and stand on the gas!! Then it's back to Canada and onto the West Coast. Oh yea, I've been there already to. Do you see a pattern taking place here? God, they drag me all over the place. Well, I'll try to keep on my Mother about sharing my life with you all. She's busy and I can understand why. We have a new puppy named Zoe and she's quite a handful. Then there's me and my Dad. We are high maintenance and she's pretty busy taking care of us. Well, please say a prayer for my Dad so he can make the Nationals this year. I really want to watch him in the Feature event this year. Pedal to the Medal Daddy! Did I mention that my Daddy turned 40 this year? We celebrated with a Wal-Mart cake, we live there too. And we spent that day in Deadwood, ND. They have live gun fights and I'm not down with that. Scared the bejesus out of me and I cried. Take care to all of my lovies and fans. Smooches, Mason
Now, I know what some of you are thinking but some of you are probably jealous! June 11, 2007 Well, I don't know where to start since I last filled you in on my life. I'm getting bigger by the day, out growing shoes like crazy. My Mom keeps me updated in the wardrobe department so no worries there. I do have to pick up the babes and you never know who's going to see you so I always have to look my best. I've been all over the country again, imagine that. Thank goodness for my favorite movie, CARS. I watch it like 3/4 times per day while we are driving down the road. I don't much care to watch anything else right now, it's all about speed and race cars you know. My first real word besides Mom/ Dad is Car. I love to watch my Daddy race and will sit through all 4 heat races and never move. Trying to get some driving tips for when I start driving pretty soon. We visited Niagara Falls a few weeks back and that was really cool except for when the mist hit me in the face, I didn't much care for that. Anyway, I've attached some photo's on my photo page, be sure to check them out. My girlfriend (Emma Tatnell) is back from Australia now. Whoa is she cute! Her Dad still keeps telling me to stay away from his daughter, I don't get it but when I see her this weekend, I'm going to plant a big kiss on her. I do that to people I really like. Loverboy! I'm getting ready to hit the road for about 3 weeks and I hope to have some more good news to share with you. Psst...if you see my Dad on or about the 26th of June, wish him a Happy Birthday, he's turning 40, wowszers. Old dude. Hope to see you all soon! Love, Mason March 30, 2007 I'm sorry it's been so long since I have blogged about my life. You see, I've been rather busy with growing up and stuff. Oh and not to mention that my Dad started racing in and so we've been doing some travelling. Just a few tidbits about me now. I have 8 teeth, am saying a few words and I mouth back to my parents when I don't like something. I love to eat donuts (DoDo's as we call them here) I also call them NumNum's. I like Chicken Nuggets, chips and salsa, hamburgers and any chocolate product that my parents will let me have. On the racing scene it's been a tough road to ho these days. However a few weeks back I got to go to the Penthouse Club with my parents. I stayed outside but had lots of the girls ooohing and aahing over me while I waited outside. It's something my parents have to do and I support this. I know some people condemn my Dad for having this sponsor and worried about their kids being influenced by this. My Mom (who very well should be affected by always being surrounded by gorgeous girls, but is not) said it's a magazine for adults and when I am an adult I can check it out if I wish to. So parents, why make a big deal out of it. I guarantee if your kid is 12 he already knows what kind of magazine it is anyways. So please keep in mind this is my Dad your talking about and it really hurts my feelings because my Dad is the best Daddy in the world and I guarantee he's one of the nicest most approchable drivers you will find on the tour. (There are some photo's of me with the babes on the photo page.) On a lighter note, I'm pretty much just being a kid and doing what kids do. Tear up the house, make messes, eat, drink milk, sleep and terrorize my parents. I finally got to meet my future wife of little Miss Emma Tatnell. Boy how cute is she and I can't wait to buy her 5 carats? or Uncle Brooke was that 5 Carrots??? (My Uncle Brooke told me that I could only marry her if I bought her 5 Carats. Hmmmm.) I like my Uncle Brooke because he talks funny. At the races I spend time in the t-shirt trailer with my Mom but she lets me go visit my adopted Auntie Pamie. I love that gal. Whoa, she buys me all sorts of good stuff. Coloring books, cars, she even bought me that really cool kids rocker from Cracker Barrel. She's so sweet and I really love to go over to her trailer and visit. Well, I had better run, my parent's are trying to get the motorhome ready to head to Georgia this weekend for the race there. I will get to meet the Sept. 2006 Penthouse Pet so that should be really cool. I'll get some photo's of me and the babe. Til next time......Have a Happy Easter and I hope to see you all at the races soon so I can terrorize your life too...... February 23, 2007 I've been getting a lot of heat from some of you regarding my status and why it's been so long since I've blogged. Well, please allow me to say that since I'm practically running the show, there isn't much time left to do some things. I quit walking, I'm running all over the place now. My Mom and Dad chase me around and they tell me NO MASON quite a bit. Not sure what that is all about. I can repeat that word I've heard it so much. I'm trying to talk but man, no one seems to understand some of the things I'm trying to communicate, guess I'll have to keep screaming to get my point across. Did I mention that I was home for 2 months and boy did I get on a schedule; sleeping, eating, napping, etc. I knew it was temproary because we were getting ready to hit the road at the end of January. We got to head to Florida where it was a little warmer then at home. I don't really care for cold weather except for the fact that I got to go sledding in my KiddieBoggin. That was a lot of fun. But the sun and my shorts were better down there in Florida. Oh and my Dad won a race while we were there. I was cheering for my Daddy and was so proud of him for getting that much needed win. I got to hang out in Victory Lane and I got my first Victory Lane photos with my Dad too. You know, since I am a regular ham for the cameras I was really loving being the center of attention. I smiled until my face hurt. I met some new friends and got acquainted with some old friends. It's been 2months and I was really missing my old buddies. Whoa, my new buddies got a workout. I drug them to the fence to watch the races, and got dirt and mud slung in my face. I LOVE it!! Milk, Methanol and Dirt, what more could a tot ask for? Great being in Florida but it was time to head back home to a whopping blizzard! Mother Nature dumped so much snow on our house we could barely get into the driveway. It was crazy and freezing cold. So for a week I was home I didn't get to leave the house it was so cold. I'm at my Grandma and Grandpa Hannagan's right now visiting and I'll be here for another week and a half before flying back to Indy. Check back soon! Some new photo's of me whooping it up! January 2, 2007 Well, it's been a really unforgettable first year for me. Since I blogged last time, I have had many events happen in my life. I had the ever so popular 1st birthday. My parents threw a huge party with about 40 people in the shop. It was the greatest birthday a kid could ever want. Not too mention all of the really cool stuff I got. I've attached a few photos on my photo page of my big day. Then lets see, we had Christmas just a week ago and I have more toys then I know what to do with. Really, I have to have another room put on my house to store all of my wares. My parents are busy preparing for their Chili Bowl appearance. They will have a Penthoue Pet on hand. Of course I'm not allowed to attend with them, I'm headed to my NanNan's house. See how that is, a hot chick and I have to stay home. I'm sure I'd pick up a new babe but I guess I'll have to wait until they come to the World Of Outlaw races. Bummer! Well, Happy New Year to all. I have toys to play with. Oh, did I mention I am walking now? I am a real terror now. I don't crawl anymore, that's for babies, I'm all grown up and into everything now. See you at the races soon. Check out my photo page of my birthday, Christmas and my parents New Year's Eve bash. October 4, 2006 I have so much to share I don't know where to begin. I guess I will tell you that I have logged over 25,000 miles this summer. I have been from one side of the country to the other and all the places in between that my parents drug me to. I mean, how many kids my age can say they've been all of the places I have already. I may not remember this all but my Mom and Dad have done a really good job of taking loads of photo's so I can remember what all happened to me in my first year. I've got my 3rd tooth and patiently awaiting my 4th as I look like snaggletooth. Good grief! My hair is finally starting to grow, I thought I'd be bald forever. Funny thing about my hair is that mine doesn't appear to be dark like my parents but some shade of blonde, whoa, I wonder how that happened. I'm trying to walk and I drive my parents crazy by trying to break out now and then. Gosh, after the Nationals, who can top all that crazy business off? What happens in Knoxville, stays in Knoxville. First we were off to Black Hills, SD, home of Mount Rushmore and the famous Sturgis. We just missed bike week by a few days, maybe I could have picked up a few new babes but they told me we were a day late and a dollar short and that I was just a tad to young to stay at the bike palace place where all of the wild stuff happens. Mount Rushmore is cool, see this trick photography photo of
me below, how cool, I'm like the 5th President, not really silly, but it is a
cool picture.
This day was a whirlwind, we visited Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse which is going to be a rock sculpture just like Mt. Rush but it's with the Indian on his horse, you know Crazy Horse. Hmm, I guess you know who this dude is cause I sure didn't. They are moving too fast with him I guess they are operating on a tight budget and maybe by the time I'm 60 they will have it done? But anyhow,
while we were driving back to my mansion on wheels, my Mom made my Dad stop off at this bear
park which turned out to be pretty cool because we got to drive through a deal
where there were wild animals, tons of bears and loads of other interesting
things to see. They let me get close enough to a bear to take this photo, can
you believe it?
After we
left the Dakotas we headed to Washington but not before taking a few, much
needed days off. My parents were getting way too grumpy and a bit snippy with me. We stopped off at a
very neat place called Coeur D'Alene, Idaho where there is a neat lake tucked in
the mountains and very pretty. We rented a boat, my first time out on the water, other then the
pool and bath tub if you know what I mean. Here are a few shots of me taking in my first trip
on the boat. I sat on my Dad's lap and took these
people for a boat ride, I had them jumping waves, going around in circles and we
really cut it loose. I am as you know, always the captain of the ship.
Here it's
where we got another few days
of relaxing in. We went fishing, fed the deer, they are friendly and come up to
you and will eat apples almost from your hand, pretty cool creatures and to
think people shoot these poor things. Yikes. My parents left me with my Uncle
Ernie and my Papa while they floated down the river. It looked like fun but I
didn't want to risk getting injured so I stayed back at the campsite. My Mom
made a feast for us two days in a row, oh how I love stuff cooked on the grill.
Steaks, corn, potatoes, you name it, I eat it. Here is what it looked like from
my standpoint.
It was then
off to visit my Grandma and Uncle Terry since we hadn't seen them. My Papa had
been with us most of the summer and what else was he doing but driving us all
crazy with his dumb jokes. We booted him at his house, but not before we slept
in his bed for the week. Papa, you really are a swell guy, I love you. We went
to wine country in Napa where Calistoga speedway is but they wouldn't allow me
into this one vineyard, they told me they needed ID. I said hey Pal, the only ID
I carry is the number on my diaper. Good grief these California people are
tough, guess I had better get a fake ID. I thought this was a beautiful place
with all of the grapes and hills and such. I met a new friend there, her
name is Bailey and she's a month older then me. We because fast friends and will
post a photo of her later. I also got to see one of my other babes, Gabrielle.
She's so sweet and I just love her.
I know this seems long, but if your still reading then it then I must be keeping your attention so I guess you'll have to finish reading the rest of it. A good writer knows how to snag his audience and keep them hooked. Ok, ok, back to the subject. Where were we, oh, off to Chico, California to race the Gold Cup. It seems like I fell asleep during the feature and more importantly was that I fell asleep during the Chili Feed and Bikini Contest. I heard from my friends there were some hot chicks there. My Dad got to be a judge so he could tell you a bit more then I can on this subject. Then it was 3 days of trekking across country to get to our next destination. Of course we stopped in Reno so my parents could gamble, my Mom won, my Dad lost. We finally
arrived in Nebraska to race at Eagle where my Dad did okay and then we were
wisked off to Minnesota which is where I got to catch
back up with my main squeeze MacKenzie. Don't we look just adorable together.
And lastly,
about 2 weeks ago, we made it home and I had to wear a winter coat at the Kokomo
race. It was freezing and I was not down with this stupid coat. My Mom named it Lil' Puffy, long story but I was mad about it the whole night.
Well, for the next few weeks we will get to be here in Indiana before heading back out west again. See how they drag me all over the place. Hey, I'm not complaining, really. Like I said before, how many kids or adults can say they have been to as many places as I have all before their 1st birthday? I've got many miles on me for sure. My Mom is working on a b log to document where all we went to this year which should be cool if she can get it done. Don't forget, next month I celebrate my 1st birthday, already, can you believe it. No gifts please, my Mom said if people keep giving me things were going to have to set up camp in the race car shop for me, I have that many things. I think I'm done, it's so late and I need my beauty sleep. I hope you all enjoyed my latest "blog" and hope you check back with me in a few weeks. August 14 My goodness, so much to tell you about. I am like a new kid on the block. I got my first tooth at the Kings Royal, how appropriate that would be. My Dad is a race driver and my Mom grew up at that race track. You should see how cute I look with two teeth, I'm really picking up the babes now. I'm starting to get some more hair, not much but there's some there. Did I mention the fact that Dad and Mom have had to go on high alert? I am crawling now. I've got them on their toes and chasing me everywhere. They tell me NO a lot and I haven't figured out what the heck all of the fuss is about. I chew on everything and if it's in my reach, I've snagged it up and more then likely put it in my mouth. Since the Kings Royal I've been spending most of my time with my Mom in the t-shirt trailer. We are working non-stop to ensure everyone gets there Penthouse merchandise. My Mom sells everything from t-shirts to jewelry. She's been making bracelets that are really cool but I delay her process as I try to spill her beads and stuff. She's good at selling and while she's doing that, I entertain the customers. It's been a ton of fun. Knoxville Nationals were so much fun. I ate all kinds of food and made a ton of new friends while there. I have to tell all the girls that have been chasing me that I'm really sweet on one little honey. As a matter of fact we were caught kissing the other day. Mackenzie Kemenah, Chad Kemenah's daughter. I found an older chick as she's 2 but cute with blond hair, she has a good sense of humor, begs me to talk to her and she calls me The Hurricane Baby. She hasn't seen anything yet. They took some pics of us kissing but we don't want those leaking to the press, after all, I'm entitled to a little privacy aren't I? Instead I've put some of my new front bottom grill. (My teeth in case you didn't understand baby talk.) My Dad is taking us to Mt. Rushmore, how cool will that be. My Dad does the sweetest thing for me and my Mom all of the time. So the next time I will have to report on how my trip was. I've listed some pictures below. Hope you enjoy and hope to give you an update soon. And, last but not least, my Uncle Brooke Tatnell got married a few weeks back and my Dad was his best mate. So I've attached some photos of us at the wedding. I mean, it's not everyday I get to dress up and my Dad is usually in a racing suit, not a monkey suit. Ha Ha, don't tell my Dad I said that please, he might get a bit upset with me. This is my Dad with my Uncle Brooke, don't they look like trouble? Just wait until Uncle Brook's baby gets here, Oh, I'm going to have a whale of a time with her!!! June 6 Well, long time for my updates. You know, it's really tough being a baby I might say. I have so many tings to share with you. First I need your prayers for my Grandma Margie, she has cancer and I want her to be here with me for a long time. My Dad is awful sad about it too so I prayed and asked that he make Grandma better. I had been traveling around the country with my Dad in my new home on wheels. My Dad/Mom call it Mason's Mansion. Told you I was spoiled. I have many new friends I have met along the way too. Must be my chubby cheeks or my smile. I really don't know what it is. I really do not like to be home. I'm a brat when I'm home, I'm bored and I just want to be out among the people at the races. I got hooked on the Disney Channel and my favorite is Doodlebops. I also am eathing baby food now. I hate veggies just like my Dad and I have a sweet tooth like my Mom. I love Pears the best. I roll over now and I sit up by myself. Oh yea, I also grab everything in my path, even mashed potato's! Well, guess I better close. Hope to see you all soon and sorry it took me so long to write. I also put up some new pictures of me on my photo page. :)) April 16 First I'd like to say Happy Easter to everyone. I'm ready to get back racing, it's been boring just sitting around here, next week I get to go to Lawrenceburg and Eldora. But I have to tell you that I got to sit in my Dad's race car and visit the shop a few days ago. Wow, there are a lot of things I can get into out there, yipee, I can't wait to start hanging out with my Dad. Is he gonna be mad when I start playing with stuff and forget where I put it. I figure since I'm destined to take his cool ride someday that I had better start learning. My Uncle Walt called the other day and talked to us about some go-karts, bring em' on, I'm ready. Nothing too exciting else to share so I've added some pictures of me with my Dad in the shop and me in the car. Til next time............. April 10 Here are a few pictures...this is one of my favorites, it's me, Grandma/PaPa Hannagan and my Uncle Terry and. One of me with my first bite of bananas and me in my Dale Jr. pajamas! Click on them to make them bigger. Batesville, Pevely, Eldora, whew....what a long trip it's been for me. Gosh, I made it back home last week, finally. I was gone for like 5 weeks. You can't believe how unhappy I am to be at home, I get restless and sort of fussy for Mom & Dad. It's rather boring and I really prefer to be out on the road because there is always something going on which is entertaining and I need entertained all of the time! I'm not kidding, play with me, talk to me, carry me around, anything that involves ME! At Batesville I got to get out and watch the races. It was nice and warm so we got mingle with the crowd. That's how I caught up with my new girlfriend, Mandy Pittman. She gave me a Daryn Pittman sprint car shirt and boy do I look cute in it. Too bad she's married because she is just too cute! I watched my Dad's heat race at Pevely and people thought it was funny that I was actually watching. Hey, it's my Dad out there, what the heck do they expect, I was cheering for my Dad. It was cold at Eldora so I didn't get to stay out too long but while I was out I met some new girls. My friends Cindy & Chrissy bought me a whole bunch of clothes. That's good because I'm getting big and I've outgrown a whole closet full of clothes so that was a great gift. Thanks!!! We get to be home for the next few weeks so I will be here chilling, doing some yard work, spring cleaning and playing with my toys of course. We have to plant some pretty flowers and try and talk my Dad into not mowing over the tulips this year, geez! Easter will be here this weekend and so I'm hoping for a visit from the Easter Bunny, I might not get those marshmellow things to eat but I may get something else really cool. Me and Mom are going to color Easter eggs today too. My Mom is old but she still colors eggs ?? and my Dad loves to eat them. ~~ HAPPY EASTER ~~ XOXOXO ~ Mason VIVA LAS VEGAS - March 13, 2005 Report Well, they say, "What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas." But since I'm just a little guy, I can share my story with my fans. My Dad had two really great runs at Vegas. I was so very proud of him. He rocked, so much I got a t-shirt from Big Dog that says My Dad Rocks to show him how proud I am of him! Go Daddy! He finished 3rd and 4th and it looks like I'm good on the diapers this week. My Dad also won a couple of Texas Hold'em tournaments which is probably what he'd do if he couldn't race. He's really good at bluffing and makes a great poker player. I'm at my Gram's house right now so I don't have a lot of time to write again because she likes to pinch my cheeks, say goofy stuff and make really funny faces at me and since I don't get to see her much I have to spend most of my time with her. Hey, sorry, Gram's get #1 priority over all of my fans and girlfriends. I think I picked up two new girlfriends over the week, Carla Herrera and her daughter Tyler. I guess I need my own guestbook by the looks of it. My parents took a bunch of photos of me since we've been away from Indiana and I've added those to my Photo Page so be sure to check them out by clicking HERE! March 8, 2005 Report I don't have a lot of time to write my colum until we leave Las Vegas but will share a bit with you. You talk about some big stuff for a little guy. Just bring em to Vegas Baby! They won't let me drop any coins into any machines because they are super strict with the under 21 crowd. Thank God for Circus Circus, at least the upper level is kid friendly. Today we visited there and well, you can really guess that I'm spoiled by all the stuff my parents and my crew won for me today. Those other Dad's looked like under achievers compared to the stuff I had. I couldn't even sit in my stroller it was so packed. Not too mention the really cool Razor Mini Motorcycle my Dad won there for me. I told my Dad he could ride it until I was old enough. My Dad was so proud to have won that for me. He's proving that he's unselfish because they had some really cool video game units like the new XBox that he could have picked but nope, my Dad wanted me to have that. My Mom's been taking photos of my travels and she will post them when she gets the disk full. Oh yea, I went to the Hoover Dam also, that was a super cool place which I really enjoyed. One of my Gram's said that I've been to more places then she has and I'm only 3 1/2 months. I told her she really needed to get out more. So check back soon as I'll have updates soon. February 8-15, 2005 Report It seems as though this was a much warranted page on my Dad's website because of my recent popularity! Hey, I'm not bragging but all the girls just think I'm so cute and I think I might be more popular then my Dad. So this page is dedicated to my fans.. My Mom and Dad said I could report to you from my point of view about the races and all of the places I travel with the team. Just think of me as the Roaming Gnome. You know that ugly little thing that is on all of the TV commercials that gets his picture taken everywhere he goes with people. Well I'm the Roaming Baby who's Dad just happens to be a sprint car driver which allows me to travel more then most babies. And did I mention the miles I've got on me already? I mean hey, I was only 2 months when I flew from Indiana to California to see my Grandma/Grandpa Hannagan, my Uncle Terry and my Aunt Vicki was there 2. I was an angel on the airplane for my Mom and Dad so this way they didn't get upset. Now if I don't feel like toting across the country on wheels I can do it via airplane. My first real "road trip" was the drive to Florida for the week long events at Volusia Speedway. My very first races which I say were pretty boring. I slept through almost all of the features and did I mention the volume level? Whoa...it was deafening for my little ears but the sound was muffled by some bright yellow foamy things my Mom stuck in my ears. I looked like a dork so Daddy said he'd look for me some baby headphones, what about my eyes folks? What's with all the dust? The week went by pretty fast for me, not so great for my Dad, he didn't have a very good week. We talked and I told him it was okay that he'd have better days and that I loved him no matter how terrible of a week it was. He told me not to worry I'd still have diapers and formula for the next few weeks so I was relieved about that because I tend to get really cranky when I don't get my food.
It is me with my Mom/Dad & our crew guys Chris & Steve at Daytona USA. Don't tell the stock car boys but fenders are boring. Instead try the Knoxville Sprint Car Hall of Fame it is 100% better so if you get the chance go there, I'll be there in April. Check back when you can as I will post more to my page when I get the chance. The demand on my time is just astronomical, you just wouldn't believe how hard it is being a baby, so much to do, so little time. Mason |
